ENVIRONMENTAL RESPOSIBILITY

All of our company sectors are accordingly regulated and licensed by federal agencies, such as: IBAMA, DNPM, THE ARMY and the FEDERAL POLICE. When it comes to state regulations, we are licensed by the Civil Police, DAEE and the Environmental Agency through CETESB, DUSM and DAIA and DEPRN.

REGULATIONS COMPLIANCE

The company abides by the existing environmental requirements, among which one of the most examplary is our closed water circuit which generates no wastewater.

Out of the many environmental control activities performed, the most recent are:

• Bag filters installation that prevents dust escaping into the atmosphere
• Process water treatment station, the waste of which is sent to industrial landfills
• Underground water control through wells monitoring
• Plantation of 70,000 native tree seedlings as a compensatory measure to the deforestation that occurs in ploughed areas
• Construction of a native seedlings nursery
• Implementation of Cipamin in the company
